Privacy
The short answer
There are no accounts, no forms, no voter data, and no advertising or tracking pixels on this site. Aggregate page views are measured by Vercel Web Analytics with query strings stripped before any measurement leaves your browser.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, logins, or profiles.
- No voter registration data of any kind.
- No home address, date of birth, driver license number, Social Security number, or voter identification number.
- No party affiliation, ballot choices, or political preferences.
- No questions about whether you are registered.
- No comments, no newsletter, no contact form on this site.
- No advertising pixels, no retargeting, no data broker enrichment, no session replay, no fingerprinting.
- No cross-site identifier and no profile joined with any other site.
We do not ask for the personal details official election systems require, because we do not process registration, lookups, or ballots. When you follow an official link, you leave this site and give that information to the government system that actually needs it.
What is measured
We use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate page view counts. Before any measurement leaves your browser, this site rewrites the measured address to the origin and path only, removing every query string and fragment. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies for this measurement and does not build a cross-site profile of visitors.
In the current version we send page views only. We maintain a short allowlist of coarse events for possible future use, covering official link clicks, state guide views, support link clicks, and outbound reference link clicks. None of those events are sent today, and none of them would ever carry a name, an address, an email, a postal code, an amount, a candidate preference, or free text.
Server logs
Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes requests and keeps operational logs, which can include an internet address and a user agent for a limited period as part of running and protecting the service. We do not join those logs with anything else and we do not use them to build a profile.
Outbound links
Official destinations open in the same tab. The outbound reference link is sent with a referrer policy that prevents the destination from receiving the page you came from, and the site sets a restrictive referrer policy overall. We never add tracking parameters to an outbound link, and we never pass a value you selected into a destination address.
Payments
If support payments are enabled, checkout is hosted by Stripe and happens on Stripe’s own pages under Stripe’s privacy policy. We do not receive or store card details. Any email address you provide there is used for a receipt and subscription management, not for marketing, and we do not add supporters to any list.
Retention
We keep no reader-level records of our own. Aggregate analytics are retained by our provider under its retention schedule, and operational logs are retained by our host under its own schedule.
Your requests
You can ask what we hold about you. The honest answer for a reader of this site is that we hold nothing that identifies you. If you want to be certain, or you want a fuller explanation of a provider’s practices, use the privacy contact listed below.
What we will not promise
We will not promise perfect anonymity. Any site you visit is served by a provider that sees a request. What we can promise is that we do not collect personal information, do not sell or share visitor data, and do not build a profile of you across our projects.
